    Responsibilities

    DOT Drivers are responsible for hauling commercial loads while meeting, and or exceeding, both Endeavor Energy Services and DOT regulations.  Drivers may also be asked to load and unload cargo as part of their daily tasks. DOT Drivers must maintain through records of their driving activities and records of vehicle inspections.  Maintaining the vehicle equipment and ensuring all safety items are in the vehicle at all times is also a requirement of the job.   

    • Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness
    • Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips
    • Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary
    • Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law
    • Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked
    • Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance
    • Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
    • Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computer

    Qualifications

    • Current CDL Class A Licence
    • Minimum of one (1) year verifiable Class A driving experience preferred or in lieu of experience must have graduated from a qualifying DOT Truck Driver school.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
    • MVR record must comply with the Company's safety standards
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
    • Must be able to work as a team and provide a high level of customer service.
