    Included in the Energy Services family of companies the Energy Services Construction Division provides drill pad site engineering & modeling for Endeavor’s drilling locations. The Construction Division harnesses new GPS technology and highly trained equipment operators to provide best in class service. 

    Responsibilities

    Position Overview

    Operate DOT regulated trucks and a variety of heavy and light equipment, tractors and trucks in order to execute any or all aspects of heavy civil/energy market construction, land management, and/or agriculture production.

     

    Scope of Responsibilities

    In a supervised and non-supervised work crew setting, the CDL Driver is responsible for operating DOT regulated trucks and a variety of heavy & light equipment in a safe, appropriate and efficient manner in order to maximize task completion while minimizing the risk of property damage, injury or loss of life. DOT regulated trucks will include but not limited to water trucks, haul trucks and backhoe trucks. Heavy and light equipment may include farm tractors, front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors other pieces of equipment and related implements. The CDL Driver must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures. Additional labor-only responsibilities may be required of CDL Driver as needed and related to heavy civil construction, energy market construction, land management, and/or agriculture production tasks.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Safely and productively operate light duty equipment, tractors and DOT regulated trucks by controlling the function of the equipment/machinery and its attachments/implements.
    •  Follow all Endeavor Energy Resources procedures and policies.
    •  Follow all DOT laws, rules and regulations
    • Follow all customer safety and contractor policies.
    • Perform all job tasks safely.
    • Keep all work areas are clean and organized.

    2. Inspect, maintain, and cleaning equipment

    • Perform pre-trip inspections and documentations at beginning of shift.
    • Perform fueling, greasing, dirt and debris build-up removal, and post trip inspections and documentation at end of shift.
    • Thoroughly clean interior and exterior of equipment as scheduled and/or required.
    • Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored or parked.
    • Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
    • Participating in maintenance or repairs as needed.
    • Participate in inventory upkeep.

    3. Perform miscellaneous and other related tasks as assigned

    • Use and operation of small equipment and tools such as water & trash pumps as needed.
    • Use of power and hand tools for misc. structure and fence construction or demolition.
    • Other tasks as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    Must have knowledge or be able to learn in the following areas:

    • Safety procedures for backhoe, DOT truck and light equipment.
    • Operation of backhoe, front end loaders, scrapers, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of heavy equipment.
    • Equipment basic mechanics, maintenance and storage.
    • Record keeping system.
    • Equipment cleaning standards and procedures.
    • Heavy civil construction, material handling, land management, and agriculture production techniques, methods and materials.
    • Workplace safety requirements and procedures.

    Education and Experience

    • 3-5 years of experience minimum.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.

    Requirements

    • Ability to inspect completed work to ensure it meets customer specifications.
    • Work hours outside of a normal work shift.
    • Work overtime hours as needed.

    Physical Demands

    The CDL Driver has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing equipment and objects. He/she will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. He/she must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
    • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment.
    • Ability to use PPE.
    • Ability to push and pull loads up to 45 lbs.

    Environmental Conditions

    Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. Job duties will regularly be performed during periods of impaired visibility due to sunrise, sunset, night work, fog rain, etc. Due to the explicit nature of the work, surroundings will be under a state of constant change. He/she will be exposed to inherently hazardous buried, overhead, and ground level situations and conditions that could cause serious injury or death to themselves or others if safety procedures are not strictly followed.

     

    Sensory Demands

    At times he/she could be exposed the following hazards capable of causing serious injury or death:

    • Work during times of environmental caused visibility impairment.
    • Airborne particles including dirt, dust, fumes, and smoke.
    • Loud noises above hearing damage threshold.
    • Fluids under extreme pressure and/or heat.
    • Sparks or other flying and/or falling objects/debris.
    • Sharp, abrasive, extremely hot or cold objects and/or surfaces.
    • Dangerous and/or toxic substances.
    • Collision and/or pinch point potentials.
    • His/her vision, hearing, smell, and touch senses must function, or be corrected to function, so that constant and continual awareness and assessment of hazards, surroundings and situations can be performed in order to safely and efficiently execute job duties.

    Mental Demands

    Must at times work independently and at other times work amidst numerous other equipment, trucks, personnel and structures and is expected to maintain a schedule of work. A high level of continuous concentration will be required to safely and efficiently execute job duties. Any problems or inconveniences may result in increased stress to complete tasks in a limited time.
