    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and assist Accounts receivable clerk with collecting past due receivables.
    • Reconcile vendor statements.
    • Maintain timely and accurate submission of Payables and Receivables in ADP Open Invoice.
    • Book deposit journals from Treasury Department.
    • Assist Accountant with balancing of general ledger accounts.
    • Prepare AJE’s for monthly accruals and inventory adjustments.
    • Support month end close.
    • Ability to reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, to determine effects on costs.
    • Assists physical inventory reconciliation and performs random count audits at month end.
    • Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures.
    • Assist with internal and external audit review.
    • Training and supervision of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable staff.
    • Other duties as assigned by Senior Accountant/Accounting Supervisor.
    • Maintain effective communication with Accounting Department and General Manager with daily operations.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.

    Qualifications

    Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred; or 5+ years’ experience of cost accounting and or inventory management experience.

    Management experience preferred.

    Strong interpersonal skills:

    Ability to lead through influence and build relationships with peers. Must be a team player and work well with people at all levels within the company.
