    Responsibilities

    • Read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
    • Be proficient in AutoCAD and CADWorx design software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.  
    • Interface with vendors and project engineers to review the installation requirements for the different pieces of mechanical equipment and associated instrumentation to develop required drawings.
    • Be able to do system walk-downs and create as-built drawings from field sketches.
    • Create mechanical construction drawings such as: FABRICATION ISOS, PIPING PLANS, FOUNDATION LOCATION PLANS AND DETAILS.
    • Be able to create mechanical BOMs using available software and vendor supplied information
    • Prepare complex drawings (e.g., PFDs, P&IDs, scaled equipment layouts, and equipment details).
    • Provide document management to maintain most recent drawings on new and existing facilities and equipment

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 10 years design experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME B31 AND API STANDARDS. • Knowledge of facility design practices including piping design, foundation design, and structural design.
    • 5 to 10 years AutoCAD experience
    • Proficiency in AutoCad (2014 or newer version)
    • Prefer some instrumentation and basic familiarity with I&E drawing development to support updating/developing I&E drawings (Area Classification, Grounding plans and Loop diagrams) as needed
