Responsibilities

Engineering Technician will provide direct assistance to the Project Engineering Team.

 

  • Assist electrical and facilities engineering teams
  • Maintain spreadsheets and compile data as required
  • Create and maintain a master list of electric service locations
  • Use GIS mapping programs to document electrical systems
  • Create electrical reports based on utility billing and company databases
  • Track meter history, the addition/removal of meters, and modifying the associated allocations for billing
  • Track rental and permanent equipment deployed in the field
  • Upload company records to central database
  • Prepare and maintain scheduling timelines of ongoing projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2+ years of Engineering Technician experience
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of GIS programs (Google Earth, ArcGIS) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Spotfire or SiteView is a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical system and billing terminology preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting engineering, construction, environmental consulting or related experience required
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to co-worker’s and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and with a team as needed
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and problem solve quickly
