Responsibilities

Vacuum Truck operator is a job with a wide ranging responsibility and scope. This includes but not limited to operating a commercial vehicle, pulling produced water, gauging tanks, cleaning up spills and following safety procedures.

 

  • Performing the duties of a Commercial License holder
  • Proper pre-trip and post trips.
  • Properly gauging tanks. (top and bottom gauge)
  • Hooking up and disconnecting hoses
  • Dragging hoses to be hooked up anywhere from ( 10' to 20' 3inch and 2inch hoses) but not limited to
  • Properly maintaining the truck being driven (Greasing truck & trailer and keeping truck clean)
  • Obeying all posted speed limits
  • Filling out logs and keeping them up to date
  • Following route provided by dispatch
  • Calling in gauges when picked up
  • Communicating with dispatch in a professional manner
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Fuel truck up on a daily basis 
  • Keep all tools needed to complete a wide array of jobs
  • Notify immediate supervisor of any accidents when they happen (no matter how little  they may be)
  • Properly notifying mechanics and supervisor of any malfunctions with the truck in a timely manner
  • Be on time to jobs and let dispatch and supervisor know when running late
  • Communicate with dispatch,supervisors and peers
  • Wear all PPE when at work
  • Be courteous to all company  men and pumpers
  • Keeping all SWD's clean and report any spills
  • Fill out all paperwork properly and with the correct info

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of operating a commercial vehicle
  • Ability to adapt and work in all conditions
  • Possess and maintain a class A CDL and current medical card
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
