• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair electrical and mechanical issues on DOT regulated commercial trucks and trailers
• Repair and service air brake systems
• Create daily work orders for services completed
• Maintain Fleet equipment with required servicing schedules
• Assign daily tasks to mechanics
• Train mechanics in diagnosing and repairing equipment
• Maintain an open line of communication with all employees and customers
• Provide preventative maintenance on multiple types of trucks and equipment
• Communicate in an effective and professional manner with customers
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• High School Diploma/GED or higher level
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Excel, Outlook, internet, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information)
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a diesel mechanic
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory position
• Must provide own tools
• Must have clean driving record - CDL not required
• Ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds

Preferred Experience

• Familiar with computer diagnostic procedures and programs
• DOT brake adjustment certification – preferred but not required
• A/C Section 609 certification – preferred but not required
