Responsibilities

  • Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts, components and engines
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance of truck fleet and trailers
  • Service and repair water hauling, hot oiling, pump equipment
  • Perform all tasks according to safety procedures
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and timely
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • May perform road side repairs and be on a weekend on call rotation
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hydraulic systems and equipment
  • Repair and service air brakes
  • Perform wiring of trailers
  • Communicate in an effective and professional manner with customers
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment

  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
  • Demonstrated problem solving capability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Desire to increase job knowledge by participating in learning opportunities and continuous improvement classes specific to job functions

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher level
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
  • Good communication skills
  • Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic in the specific field
  • Must have clean driving record 
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
