Responsibilities

  • Conduct field reviews to support safety performance as an essential part of day-to-day operations.
  • Support worksite compliance with OSHA, API, NFPA, DOT, FMCSA  with contractors safety standards
  • Partner with management to analyze incidents, assist investigations, identify causes and actions for prevention activities.
  • Facilitate in the creation and support of HSE processes aimed at hazard assessment and incident prevention.
  • Communicate and coach regularly with contractors, employees, and management regarding a variety of safety topics.
  • Emergency response support
  • Work as directed as per stipulations set forth in the vendor MSA / CSA.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of practical work experience in a similar safety role
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and ability to work with all facets of an organization including ability to make effective presentations in front of large groups.
  • Deep technical safety knowledge and experience with OSHA regulations
  • Ability to work as a team and promote teamwork.
  • Working knowledge of risk and environmental processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long lengths of time regardless of weather or conditions.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be noisy and dusty.
  • Bilingual applicant is a plus.
  • Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of college or Equivalent HSE Experience
  • Professional safety certifications
