This position is responsible assisting the Journeyman Electrician in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems for clients as assigned. The Apprentice Electrician will report to Electrical Maintenance and Construction (EMC), an affiliate of Endeavor Energy Resources, LP. Work is often outdoors and working conditions range from frigid to hot temperatures, high winds, flying dust, slipping hazards and conditions and frequently exposed to loud noise from heavy equipment and machinery.

• Help install power supply wiring and conduit such as EMT, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable tray
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels,
• Help install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, and power supplies
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter
• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools
• Construct controllers and panels, using power drills, taps, saws and punches
• Clean and maintain work area and washing parts
• Maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and keeping parts and supplies in order

Minimum qualifications:

• Current Texas Apprentice License
• Minimum 1 year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)
• Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred
• High School Diploma/GED or higher level
• Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, internet, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information) -OR-
• An acceptable combination of education and experience
• Must have clean driving record
