Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, trucks and CAT construction equipment (Dozer, roller, backhoe, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Peterbilt, volvo and similar equipment
- Routinely inspect all shop equipment and work area to maintain a safe working environment
- Keep the shop and yard clean and free of debris and trip hazards
- Other duties as assigned
- Repairs and Maintenance
- Fill out and return completed work orders
- Perform heavy equipment, trucks and vehicles preventive maintenance tasks
- Perform repairs on heavy equipment, trucks and light duty vehicles
- Inventory Control
- Adhere to the companies purchasing guidelines
- Perform miscellaneous and other related tasks as assigned
- Routinely inspect all shop equipment and work area to maintain a safe environment for employees
- Shop Equipment
- Maintain shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition
- Participate in the upkeep and appearance of shop and yard
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience with heavy equipment repairs
- 2-5 years experience on CAT construction equipment (Dozer, roller, backhoe, etc.)
- CAT ET & SIS experience preferred
- 1-2 years of experience with preventative maintenance work on light equipment, DOT vehicles and Heavy Equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Communications skills, communicate effectively in English

- Ability to read and write in English at a high school level

- Work hours outside of a normal work shift
- Work overtime hours as needed
